  1. Great find as always Styln…but what really angers me with untold stories like this is that there were many dudes like this one who played in the Famed Negro Leagues yet none of us to this day know their names like one would say a Babe Ruth or Joe DiMaggio. Not to take anything away from those white players during that time but the players in the Negro Leagues were robbed of their spotlight and many of them if not most of them hearing from the people who witnessed such greatness on the field would say they were better then ANY of the known baseball greats. While I like projects like this that shed the light on these unknown players I just get so angry at the fact the people like myself know so little of these players in this day and age. And I know we have the internet but still little ones growing up should know about these players during that time as well as their famous white counterparts. I know I am preaching to the choir I’m just venting. Thanks again for posting this

Your’re so right! I never learned about these men or the Negro leagues in history class. There is sooo much we still don’t know about our people and their many accomplishments.
