UNICOIN | Engages Kids For Global Early Education Charity

Digital Currency Teaches Kids About Charity

Created by UNICEF and H&M Conscious Foundation, Unicoin a crypto-currency which will engage kids and promote access to early education.

More than 200 million children around the world don’t have access to educational activities before the age of five. Now, Unicoin a charitable cryto-currency enables children, in more privileged parts of the world, to help ensure every child gets the chance to reach their full learning potential.

Participating children will earn a Unicoin by submitting a drawing and a note about their hopes for the project. Launched as part of a collaboration between UNICEF and H&M Conscious Foundation, the Unicoin donations are redeemed for supplies used in Early Childhood Development programs in disadvantaged communities. The project is part of the “Global Program for Education” that H&M has pledged to give 9.3 million dollars, over the next three years. The program also educates privileged children about the importance of giving time, attention and resources to the less fortunate. UNICEF will distribute 20,000 learning packs including notebooks and pencils to children in need, each one earned by the creation of a Unicoin.
