20 Foot 3D Printer Creates Affordable Mud Homes


WASP portable 3D printers create mud houses up to 9 feet high.

3D printing creates just about anything from custom action figures, clothing and jewelry to tactile city maps that help the visually impaired. Now, the World’s Advanced Saving Project (WASP) has developed a 3D mud house printer to create affordable housing for the poor. Safe and affordable housing is a dream for most and with modern building materials becoming increasingly more expensive many people will never own, let alone build their own home.

WASP has developed a 20 foot high portable 3D printer that uses mud to create a 9 foot high affordable housing. WASP’s first mud house will be build in Sardinia later this year. Check out the videos below and their website for the latest news:
