Confidence is Beautiful

Self Acceptance is Key

Comparing yourself to others and the so-called standard of beauty, thereby down playing your own beauty breeds self hate.  Nobody’s perfect! Your unique beauty is begging you to accept and celebrate it with everything you’ve got. By focusing on your so-called flaws and neglecting self-love, you eventually become that horrible mess you’ve been duped into believing you are.  It’s time to focus on the best of yourself, to illuminate the things that make you special and uniquely beautiful.

Stop pointing out so-called flaws, speak only positivity to your points of self-contention. Saying, “I’m fat” promotes unhealthy behavior, instead say, “I’m fit and trim.” Consistent positive affirmation encourages your mind and body to respond by eating better and exercising. Choose a goal weight and speak it everyday, with self motivation you’ll soon accomplish your fitness goals. It’s surprising what you will accomplish by speaking your personal truth and not the mainstream body image lies causing you to remain miserable.

Know & Work Your Best Beauty Assets

Not only listen to, but believe in and act upon others complements regarding your personal attributes. Making small changes and enhancements aren’t hard to do and can be big life changers. Do you have full healthy hair?, then flaunt it with a great cut and sexy color or go natural. Do you have eyes?, then rim them with liner adding a bit of mascara to your lashes. Do you have cheek bones or lips?, then bronze those cheeks and gloss those lips. Honey, you ought to always shimmer, sparkle and shine.

Flaunt your glowing completion with colors that compliment your skin tone. Whiten your teeth and always smile. Attract attention to your manicured hands and feet with beautiful nail polish, rings and bracelets. Remember, positive attention and compliments are always a big confidence booster!  Just make a few changes and begin to reap the accolades.

Love & Care For Yourself

Do not ignore your personal needs! You are responsible for building your self-confidence and level of self-esteem. Love, accept and take good care of mind, body and soul. Consistent laziness creates a mediocre outlook on life, never settle for less than what you were born to be. Be your own best friend by living-on-purpose and love will always find you!

Consistently drink clean water and eat vital foods that heal and nourish the body. Eating well promotes health and youthfulness for a lifetime. Exercise is the fountain of youth, get active and stay that way for life. Get out there and clean the yard, plant a garden, build something, ride a bike, jump rope, hula hoop and walk or jog. You don’t need a gym membership to get fit, just do it!

Take care of your skin on a daily basis. Fight acne, dark spots, rough patches and scars with the appropriate skin regimen and products and always keep your hands off your face. When acne erupts don’t pick or attempt to burst cystic pimples, this causes deep scaring.  Aside from a good dermatologist you must eat well, exercise and drink water. Don’t forget to check YouTube for DIY and at-home skin and hair enhancing tips and regimens. Make sure to regularly exfoliate your face and body. Invest in a good BB or CC cream to brighten your completion and dark spot corrector eradicates acne scars and blotchy areas. Whatever your skin issues, there are new technologies, procedures and products to help and heal.

Most importantly, know your mindset and police your thoughts. Take time to clear your mind and meditate on the good and positive aspects of life. Create me-time, relax and learn to express your creativity. Building confidence means, consistently working toward the regeneration of your mind, body and soul. Do some soul-searching to get in-touch with your authentic self and challenge yourself to develop a spiritual practice. Dealing with yourself first makes for better relationships with others and leads to a more productive and satisfying life.

Smile From the Inside

One of the easiest ways to get a quick boost is to smile. A big smile tells your body everything’s alright, so smile with every fiber of your being. Smiling with your heart, your best intentions and purpose breaks down negativity, thus allowing room for spiritual and emotional growth. Your radiant beauty shines through with every truth you speak to yourself, with every ounce of love you give yourself and through the positivity you attract by being your best you. Try living in a self-assured and confident way, it will serve you well.

You are right, confidence is beautiful and it’s also sexy. Self-acceptance is where it’s at if one is to move forward in a healthy way, loving yourself warts and all.

  4. Thanks for the pep talk, “Dr. Styln”. All you need is an image of a couch for me to lay down and tell you about all my ‘issues’-lol! Peace.

Teehee! I think it’s time for people to start accepting and loving themselves. The media, the Internet and celebrity worship has convinced many to hate themselves. Many people, especially women are in need of a radical self-love intervention.
