Fashion’s Night Out | Style Setter Contest

Check out my first three contest sets for the “FNO: Style Setter” contest on Polyvore.com.  It’s all about how to dress your favorite style icon for NYC Fashion Week.  From the Polyvore blog:

“For this week’s challenge, show us how you would dress your favorite style icon for the Fashion Week shows. Each day, a Vogue.com editor will select one set to be featured on Vogue.com. At the end of the week, our guest judge Grace Coddington will choose two finalists to be entered in the final
round of community voting on Vogue.com on September 5. The grand prize is a trip for two to NYC to attend a Vogue photo shoot plus a tour of the famed Vogue
Fashion closet!.”

My first three style icons are Tyra Banks, Zoe Saldana and Beyoncé.

The Tyra Banks set features the Roberto Cavalli animal-print stretch-jersey dress.  Tyra’s got the voluptuous assets to beautifully fill this super sexy form fitter.  She’s also known for wearing large, chunky and edgy jewelry, so I added some of my favorite pieces adding a youthful touch.  Tyra Bank’s style has always commanded red carpet attention and fashion week is the perfect platform to showcase her timeless beauty.

The Beyonce set features the Giuseppe Zanotti black suede peep-toe sling-backs with a yellow suede heel and a red suede platform covered in tone-on-tone micro crystals.  The Alexander McQueen red hot frock is a sure standout with its waist cinching detail and cleavage enhancing draped neckline.  I’ve added blingy accessories to give her that superstar look she’s so aptly earned.

The Zoe Saldana set features a total look including this sweet and sexy Paul & Joe strapless dress, the striking Christian Louboutin pumps and edgy accessories create a sophisticated look.  I included a slick pair of Tom Ford oval frame sunnies with a sports-luxe feel, to go with Zoe’s action star persona.  Yes, Zoe’s a “Bad Motha-Shut-Yo-Mouf” supa-star!

I hope to make a few more sets before it’s all over, because I’d sure like to make that trip to NYC and Vogue Magazine Headquarters.

    “Yes, Zoe’s a “Bad Motha-Shut-yo-mouf” supa-star!”
I have a huge crush on Zoe these days. I used to have one on Tyra as you can see from some of my artwork on skydrive. Uh, Beyonce won’t be working anything that tight or revealing for the next several months now that she’s about to have “destiny’s child” (get it?Oh I keeeeel me!!!)

You so silly! Yea, Beyonce isn’t gonna be rockin’ those playboy bunny suits and fitted dresses for a long time, but I’m sure she’ll snap back to that bodacious bod’ in no time. I’m sooo happy for Zoe and I hope her star continues to rise. Tyra is a force to be reckoned with and will look great in whatever she wears and will surely be a great success in whatever she chooses to embark upon.
