Hatred drastically lowers our quality of life and perpetuates all manner of illness. Your overall attitude and conversation directly affects your well-being and that of those in your life.
Question: Do actions speak louder than words?
I believe words are as powerful, if not more-so, than actions. Personal awareness of the effect that a bad disposition and negative words have on others, speaks directly to your level of self-respect and personal cognizance (unless one is pathological).
I often take stock of how I feel after being in the presence of others. This helps me determine who my friends are, the factors dictating why I’m involved with particular individuals and what within me attracts them. I’m typically aware of what’s in my heart to do and (try my best to) practice self control when tense or upsetting circumstances occur. I’m not always successful, but I actively soul search, work at confronting my issues and consistently pray for positive change and growth.
My prayer is: Lord show me the contents of my heart, make me work through my anger and expose my negative and hateful ways. Heal me, change me and allow me to glorify you with my choices, words and actions.
Nobody’s perfect, but I believe we can do better. Human beings are worth it, especially our children!
Conscious knowledge of one’s own character, feelings, motives, and desires.
“the process can be painful but it leads to greater self-awareness”
Just a quote:
Kind words can be short and easy to speak, but their echos are truly endless.
